Bloxorz Unblocked — Play Free Online

Endless Runners

Bloxorz: roll a tall block with the arrow keys across 33 floating stages and drop it upright into the square hole, using switches and passcodes.

Bloxorz unblocked: play Bloxorz online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.

A rolling-block puzzle from the Flash years

Bloxorz is a logic puzzle about a tall block, made of two cubes stacked together, that tips end over end across a platform of tiles floating over nothing. Damien Clarke of DX Interactive designed it, and the title screen of this version still carries the line "presented by www.addictinggames.com". It began life as a Flash game; the copy here runs the original file through Ruffle, the Flash emulator, so it looks and plays as it did.

The goal and the controls

Somewhere on each stage is a square hole one tile across. Your aim is to get the block into it. Each press of an arrow key tips the block over by one step, and every tip changes how it sits: upright, the block rests on one tile, while on its side it rests on two. Because the hole is only one tile wide, the block has to reach it standing on end, which is why the order of your moves matters more than the distance. Roll it off the edge of the platform and it drops into the void.

This is a keyboard game and is not set up for touch screens.

What appears in later stages

Bloxorz has 33 stages, and new pieces join the puzzles as you advance:

  • Round switches, also called soft switches, are triggered by any contact, upright or flat.
  • X-shaped switches do nothing unless the block is balanced on its end over them.
  • Teleport switches look like a pair of brackets. Pressing one sends the block elsewhere and breaks it into two little cubes.
  • Orange tiles are weaker than the normal floor. Stand the block upright on one and the tile collapses under it.

Switches are used for different jobs from stage to stage, so watch what changes on the platform each time you trigger one.

Coming back with passcodes

Every stage displays its own code in the upper-right part of the display. Make a note of it. Later, choose Load Stage on the main menu and type that code to return to the same stage instead of starting over. The menu also lists Start New Game, Toggle Sound and Credits.

Tips

  • After a split, the two small cubes are too light for X-shaped switches and only work on the round ones.
  • Only lie flat across orange tiles; standing on them is what makes them give way.
  • Keep your codes from the later stages, because typing one in takes you straight back to a hard puzzle.

Questions about Bloxorz

Is Bloxorz unblocked at school?

Bloxorz runs in an ordinary browser tab from slope3.me, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.

How do you finish a level in Bloxorz?

Steer with the arrow keys, tipping the block over until it can drop, standing on end, into the one-tile square hole. Tipping it off the platform makes it fall instead.

How many levels does Bloxorz have?

There are 33 stages. Later ones bring in round and X-shaped switches, fragile orange tiles and bracket-shaped teleport switches that split the block in two.

How do I get back to a level I already reached?

Write down the code shown in the upper-right corner of that stage. On the main menu, pick Load Stage and type the code in.

Who created Bloxorz?

Damien Clarke of DX Interactive designed it as a Flash game. This version runs the original through the Ruffle emulator.
